A referee in a game tonight told me that on a dead ball out of bounds, the player could run 3 ft in either direction. Not after a made basket where the player is allowed to run the baseline but a dead ball, is this correct? Also if it is a dead ball and the player jumps to pass the ball but does not pass it, and then lands without throwing the ball, is this a travel as well?
During dead ball, a player cannot move his feet whether his at the baseline or at the sideline when passing the ball cause he will be called for a travel but during after every basket, he can always move to either direction he chooses when passing the ball but only when his at the baseline.He cannot move his feet also when passing at the sideline.
